Simple Sherpherd's Pie Recipe

I like to eat anything with potatoes.  That's the reason I like Sherpherd's pie.  I realised there are a few ways to make it.  My method is simple yet delicious.


1.  3 potatoes
2.  200 ml milk
3.  2 tablespoon butter
4.  250 g mince pork / chicken / beef
5.  some frozen peas
6.  1/2 tablespoon onions
7.  1/2 tablespoon garlic
8.  salt and pepper
9.  5 tablespoons spaghetti sauce
10.  1/3 cup chicken stock


1.  Peel potatoes and put them in a pot of boiling water.  Cook until potatoes turn tender.
2.  Mash potatoes.  Add butter and milk and mix them well.

3.  Sautee onions and garlic with butter for a few seconds.  Add mince meat and chicken stock and cook for a few minutes.  Add frozen peas and continue to stir-fry.   Add salt, pepper and  spaghetti sauce.  (You can add more spaghetti sauce if you like)  Fry for a few minutes. 

4.  Place cooked mince meat and peas in the baking tin.  Top it with mashed potatoes.  Rough up with a fork so that there are peaks that will brown nicely.

5.  Bake it in a 400 degree oven until bubbling and brown. 

Tips :
For others without oven, you can actually bake it in a toaster until the top turns a bit brown.
