Apple Crumble


I just love the cinnamon laced apple fillings with hint of zesty taste and the crunchy, crumbly topping of apple crumble.  Whenever there are extra apples, I will bake apple crumble.  



Ingredients (serves 2)

Fillings:
1.  3 apples (chuck)
2.  30g sugar
3.  1 tsp  cinnamon
4.  2 tbsp. water
5.  1 tsp lemon zest
6.  Raisin (optional)

Crust
1.  50g plain flour
2.  1 tbsp. sugar
3.  25g butter
4.  2 tbsp. oat or museli
5.  Pinch of cinnamon

Method

Fillings

1.  Cook fillings in a pot for 5 to 10 mins.  Remove pot from heat once the water is reduced.

Cook apples until water is reduced

Crust

Pour all ingredients into a bowl and rub together with fingertips until resembles breadcrumbs.

Assemble

.  Scoop fillings into a baking dish and top with crumbles.

2.  Bake for 12 - 14 min in a 200 degree oven for until you see bubbles surfacing to the top of the crumble or until golden brown.
