No Bake Oreo Cheesecake with agar agar

Craving for oreo cheesecake on Sunday and decided to 'bake' one.  I have added agar agar in this recipe although it is not a must.  The cake was delicious as I added a lot of oreo cookies.

Ingredients
(6 inch base removable cake tin)

Crust
1)  142g oreo cookies
2)  45g  melted butter

Filling
1)  450g cream cheese (room temperature)
2)  330g whipping cream
3)  90g sugar
4)  85g oreo cookies (small pieces) I used more as I like oreo cookies
5)  2g agar agar powder with 120ml water

Method

Crust
1)  Crush cookies into crumbs.  I used a blender as it is faster and crumbs are finer.
2)  Pour in melted butter and mix well.
Pour melted butter to crumbs

3)  Line the base of the cake tin.  Spread the cookies crumbs on the cake tin and use the back of a spoon to press the crumbs firmly and evenly.  Refrigerate it while preparing the fillings.

Press crumbs firmly and evenly

Filling
1)  Whisk cream cheese and sugar until there is no lump.

Whisk until no lump

2)  Add whipping cream slowly.  Whisk with low speed until mixture thickens.

Whisk until mixture thickens

3)  Heat agar agar and still until dissolves.  Pour 100ml of agar agar liquid into the mixture.
Use a spatula to fold the liquid to the cream mixture.

4)  Add oreo cookies to mixture and fold in gently.

Fold in the broken pieces of oreo cookies

5)  Pour cream mixture into the cake tin and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours.
(without agar agar, refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight)
6) The top is a layer of oreo cookies crumb.

Pour cream mixture to cake tin

Enjoy cheese cake with loads of oreo bits
