With A Pinch of Salt cafe

With A Pinch of Salt.....a cute name for a cafe.  What captured my attention when I walked into this café was the décor.  The pictures on the walls and tables were beautiful.  According to the owner, many customers held their children's birthday celebrations here.

There were quite a number of choices from the menu.  We ordered Old Uncle Mac's Favourite, a combo of steak, lamb chop, chicken, chipolatas, bacon, ham, potatoes wedges and a sunny side up. The steak and lamb chop were alright.  The deep fried breaded chicken was quite a disappointment.  The breaded skin fell apart when it was cut as the chicken was not hot enough.

We also had Chicken Roulade.  I like this dish as the sauce was savoury and creamy.  There chicken was stuffed with lots of shiitake mushrooms.

The thin crust pizza was under cooked.  Though it was supposed to be thin crust, the crust was not crispy.  The bacon and sausage Aglio Olio was quite bland.  There was not enough garlic and I could not find any chilli flakes in this dish.

We liked the chocolate mint smoothie which was quite refreshing.  I felt that the lava chocolate was a bit too dry.  Thank goodness, this flaw was camouflaged by the ice cream.

The young lady who served us friendly.  She was busy as there were 2 party celebrations going on then, but she made an effort to serve us as best as she could.
